Porsche is one of the most celebrated brands in the world producing some of the most memorable luxury cars. There are a few cars that have truly stood out in the last few years and Porsche Cayman is certainly one of them. Whether it is appearance, performance or just the sheer comfort that this luxury car provides is simply out of this world. With so much to offer along with the legendary brand name of Porsche itself, Cayman is certainly no cheap affair. At a starting price of around Rs.1.1Crore, Porsche Cayman is not affordable for everyone. However there are used Porsche Cayman in India that customers can opt for which would be available at much cheaper price. But is it worth buying the bad boy? We have a few reasons justifying the same.
There is no doubt that Porsche Cayman is one of the most delightful looking cars around in its class and has been crafted beautifully from front to the back. The obvious sporty theme of the car blends nicely with the right amount of elegance. The titanium colored grille at the front takes the design of the car to another level. As far as dimensions are concerned, the length of the vehicle is 4438mm, width is 1817mm and height is 1266mm.
The engine is quite powerful as expected with the vehicle running on a 3.8 litre 24V petrol engine that has a displacement of 385bhp at 7400rpm along with twisting away a torque of 420Nm at 4750 to 6000rpm. The engine is backed by 6 cylinders with four valves each and uses direct fuel injection technology. The engine is mated to a 6 speed manual transmission system with a Rear Wheel Drive set up.
With such a powerful engine to withhold, drivers behind the wheel will certainly feel the same effect. The car can achieve a top speed of 295kmph and can go from 0 to 100kmph in an incredibly low time of 4.4 seconds. Mileage is not that great with Porsche Cayman but you do not buy one of these bad boys for mileage. For cities Porsche Cayman gives a mileage of 6.7kmpl whereas for highways the same is 12.8kmpl.
There are plenty of safety features with Porsche Cayman that customers will enjoy with facilities like full size airbags, side impact protection, central locking and remote control alarm system and many more. The braking system is also quite compact with ventilated discs for both front and rear wheels.
Being behind the wheels of this luxury beast can’t be expressed in words. Forget the common man, even the celebrities are mesmerized by the beauty of this two-seater sports vehicle and our very own ‘Angry Young Man’, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, owns one, which he adores so much.
